Happy faces in Cambodia, dresses delivered in January to Aziza's Place.
Dresses have also gone out to Rwanda and Syrian refugees in Europe - might get photos .
Thank you to everyone who has been making
Teddies going out to Nepal and Africa via the lovely Janet Jones Thank you
I am going to have to call a halt to deliveries for a while as I am having building work done and worried about the dust and lack of space!
Back to normal after Christmas hopefully
If anyone would like to do some fundraising that would be great as we have very little money left to send out parcels..
Thank you to Olivia who has organised the printing of labels for both dresses and shorts. Please see the Facebook page and message Olivia or me if you would like to purchase some, £6 for 50 including postage.
A huge thank you to Jayney Taylor who organised a Sewing Bee in Bridgend where they made 30 dresses with more to come. They also made dolls and collected underwear for the children.
Lots of dresses and shorts going out to Peru, Ghana and Uganda over the next few weeks. Great to see schools taking items - Pipers Corner School near High Wycombe going to Peru, Oldham Hulme Grammar going to Ghana. Hopefully we will get photos when they are all delivered.
These are the last of the dresses and shorts from 2017 being sent to Syria via Samaras Aid, not sure we will get photos, but I should be notified of their safe arrival. Thank you to everyone who made dresses last year - over 5000 dresses and 1000 shorts were received and sent on to children in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Greece, Syria to name but a few.
We start 2018 with the amazing story of Mary and David Hogg from Scunthorpe - see the BBc film here.
This has kick started the campaign for this year in an incredible way - thank you to everyone who has contacted me.
Love the shorts that Carol has made, these are so fab as they have draw cords instead of elastic so will fit more children and will last longer than those with elastic which tends to go hard in the heat conditions.
The Peasant Dresses also. Have a draw cord at the neckline again a magic idea as then the dress will fit almost any size shoulders without the need for alterations. Fantastic work Carol, thank you!
